In August, one of Northern Europe’s leading digital infrastructure providers, GlobalConnect, welcomes Lasse Pilgaard as Group CFO for the next chapters of an ambitious growth journey. He is former CFO in TDC Group and MTG and replaces GlobalConnect’s current CFO who resigns after three years and several significant milestones.

“I am excited to welcome a Group CFO of this caliber. Lasse has all the right qualities and the experience to play a key part in catapulting GlobalConnect even further in our expansion, as we continue to connect Northern Europe,” says Martin Lippert, Group CEO at GlobalConnect.

Lasse Pilgaard brings vast experience from the telecommunications and technology industry, most significantly as CFO in TDC Group during the split into TDC Net and Nuuday as well as most recently as Group CFO in the listed international mobile gaming group, MTG. In his new position, Lasse Pilgaard will join GlobalConnect’s Corporate Leadership Team.

“I have followed GlobalConnect closely for almost a decade and have seen how they have turned a challenger position into now being Northern Europe’s leading digital infrastructure provider. Knowing the markets, the company and the team well, I am truly excited about being part of the next phase of the growth journey,” says Lasse Pilgaard.

Lasse Pilgaard is the successor of Henrik Schibler, who has held the position of Group CFO for the past three years and delivered on several milestones, such as a EUR 1 billion ESG-linked loan to enable sustainable growth as well as recently welcoming a new minority stake investor.

”It is with great pride that I leave GlobalConnect in a strong position to conquer new grounds and reach new milestones. Following a successful minority stake sale, now is the right time for me to take on new challenges,” says Henrik Schibler.

”Henrik has made crucial contributions to bringing GlobalConnect to the position we have today, and I would like to say a sincere thank you. He has made a real difference for our business, and I wish him the best of luck in his next professional endeavor,” says Martin Lippert.
