We recognise that by being one of the leading integrated digital infrastructure providers in the Nordics, driving more than 50% of all data traffic in the region, we play a crucial role in keeping our modern digital societyiesup and running.
Our vast fiber network empowers and enables our everyday lives. We make sure schools and hospitals can operate, that we can work from home and grow our business. We have been doing this for more than 20 years and we plan to keep connecting Northern Europe with digital infrastructure now and for future generations.

ESG Projects Highlight
Immersive Cooling
An award winning (Technology Innovation Award) Immersive cooling technology as the first co-location provider in Europe to offer the cutting-edge cooling technology, starting in Denmark. This saves up to 90% power for cooling due to lower requirements, and 25% increase in operational efficiency without risk of overheating. With data centres accounting for 1,8-2,6% of all Europe’s energy consumption according to EU 2024 analysis, such a power saving can be hugely impactful, making the innovation incredibly important.
Customer Carbon Calculator
The project was launched to support customers on their sustainability journey, for which GlobalConnect has introduced the Customer Carbon Calculator (CCC), enabling customers to look up the carbon footprint associated with their purchases from GlobalConnect. In 2023 these calculations have been made automated for customers in Norway and are working towards making it available for all customers.
Wifi Power Control
GlobalConnect now offers to switch off Access Points at night, saving customers emissions and electrical costs – similarly to turning off the lights during the night. Connectivity solutions are traditionally powered on all hours of the day. However, the equipment located at an office or retail environment is normally not in use during the night. Electricity usage of these equipment has the largest negative impact on the environment during a service use and has financial costs associated with it. This solution is designed to lower these environmental impacts.
