Meet our employees

“Expand your comfort zone”

Cecilia Aldrin
Business Manager (SE & FI)

I joined GlobalConnect in 2018, when IP-Only had just merged with GlobalConnect. My first role was a hybrid one as a Project Manager in a central function well as a CEO Trainee working with projects across the company with the Management Team.

A year after joining, I got the opportunity to continue my journey as a Commercial Product Manager for our datacom services within the B2B/Enterprise business area, and about a year ago I took the role as Business Manager for our Large segment. In this current role, I oversee the product portfolio and offerings for our Swedish and Finnish Large segment customers.

What are the most exciting parts of your job?

Not only is the opportunity to work with business-critical services for large companies in Sweden and the Nordics exciting, but also catering to the continued digitization of Nordic society. I make sure we have an attractive offering and that we can deliver and support the services we offer. Therefore, I work closely with sales, product management, operations and IT-development, making my role thrilling and dynamic.

What do customers expect from GlobalConnect?
As a result of the continued digitization and automation of businesses and production, the need for stable and robust connection is increasing rapidly, which really requires us to deliver high-quality services. I think our customers expect us as a provider to act as a proactive partner, delivering end-to-end connectivity solutions that also meet the requirements that comes from today’s hybrid offices and increasing security threats.

What made you join GC?
Three reasons: firstly, I spotted strong role models within the company, which is important to me. Secondly the ownership structure. Being owned by private equity results in high targets and ambitions, which motivates me. Last but not least, what we do: building one of society’s most important infrastructures is a prerequisite to a digitalized, connected and automated world. GC is constantly moving forward and there is a continuous need and drive for change. This is a challenging environment where I need to learn new things every day, but it is also something that I really enjoy and appreciate.

How would you define the GC culture?
You can still feel the history, background and spirit of the entrepreneurial startup companies from which GC originates, even if we are a much bigger company today. I work with dedicated and very competent colleagues who have a strong will to move forward and have lots of fun on the way. In this culture, I get the opportunity to take a lot of responsibility and the chance to widen my competence and go outside my comfort zone.
