GlobalConnect Denmark wins major public sector agreement to deliver connectivity services across all Danish regions

Digital infrastructure provider, GlobalConnect Denmark wins the third consecutive public tender for internet and data connection services for Danish SKI – Staten og Kommunernes Indkøbsservice. Over the next five years, GlobalConnect will deliver critical connectivity to the Danish state and all Danish regions, including 48 municipalities.
Since 2012, GlobalConnect Denmark has supplied connectivity services to the Danish public sector, and with the new framework agreement, GlobalConnect will continue to deliver a range of services, such as high-speed fiber connection, also adding new cloud and security services such as SD-WAN. According to SKI, the contract has an estimated total value of 750 million DKK.

The contract is geographically divided into four partial agreements, and GlobalConnect has been chosen as vendor for all four. As a result, GlobalConnect Denmark will be delivering connectivity to the public sector in all regions of the country, including a total of 48 municipalities. The new agreement is a five-year joint public agreement with the possibility of two one-year extensions and is effective from October 1, 2021.
